About the

DuPage Greens

The DuPage County Green Party (DCGP) is a political party whose goal is to support candidates for political office that will bring economic, social, racial, environmental and democratic justice to all of the people of DuPage County, IL.

Formed in 2002, the DCGP is the county’s only political party that places voluntary limits on its fundraising by not accepting big money special interest donations.

An affiliated local of the Illinois Green Party, the DuPage Greens are 100% people-powered, relying on volunteerism and small contributions to fuel its mission of making government more fair, accountable, efficient and productive for all members of the community.

Our primary causes

The Green Party is comprised of grassroots activists who conduct issue-based campaigns between electoral campaigns. As such, we collaborate with like-minded organizations to further our mutual causes, like environmental renewal, social justice, and more.

Our top two campaigns are fighting for electoral reform (leveling the playing field for third party candidates) and supporting the Move the Amend coalition in their fight to stop corporate personhood and dark money in our political system.

ELECTORAL REFORM

The DuPage County Green Party’s primary issue-based campaign is Electoral Reform and Ranked Choice Voting. These are vital changes we’ll need to implement to give so-called “third parties” a level playing field alongside the duopoly.

MOVE TO AMEND

Move to Amend is a non-partisan, broad coalition of organizations and individuals, who share common values, working together to end corporate personhood and demand real democracy. The DCGP is a proud endorser of this organization and its mission.
